Starting and finishing at the spacious picnic shelter near the lake, participants can look forward to well-marked courses that wind through stunning single and double track trails, offering breathtaking views of the river and lake, along with plenty of elevation changes and bridges. With check-in times starting as early as 8:00 AM, runners and hikers alike can savor delicious gluten-free and plant-based snacks waiting for them at the finish line. Plus, kids aged 5 and under can join in on the fun for free during the hike! Organiser's Description
Come out and Support Cliffs of the Neuse State Park's 6th spring trail race! We will have 4ish and 8ish mile distances as well as a 4ish mile hike option. Also a 50k ULTRA distance! And new for 2026 a 25k option!
START/FINISH AREA AT THE BIG PICNIC SHELTER WITH REAL PARKING AND REAL BATHROOMS!
The course will start and finish at the big picnic shelter by the lake parking lot. There will be a short section of gravel road but the 4ish mile loop, 8ish mile lollipop, and 50K/25K laps will be mostly beautiful single and double track. The curvy trails include significant elevation change, bridges, and views of the river and lake. All courses will be marked and all runs will be timed.
Everyone will park in the large lot by the lake.
50k/25k will start at 9:00a check in 8:00a to 8:45a
All other distances will start at 9:30a check in 8:15a to 9:15a
HIKE: Kids 5 and under can participate in the hike for free as long as they are accompanied by a registered guardian.
Online registration ends March 19th.
As always we will have delicious cookies and a small meal waiting at the finish line! (gluten free and plant based of course)
