Get ready for an exciting day of community spirit and support at the Clio Can Do Freedom 4 Veterans Race, taking place on Saturday, May 24, 2025, in the beautiful Clio City Park, located at 402 N. Mill St., Clio, MI. This uplifting event features a 4-mile run/walk that winds through the charming streets of Clio and along the scenic bike path, as well as a 1-mile family walk, making it perfect for participants of all ages and fitness levels.
Join us as we honor our heroes and raise funds for local non-profits dedicated to helping children and families. The day kicks off with late registration at 7:30 AM, followed by the races starting at 9:00 AM. Participants can look forward to receiving a medal and a race t-shirt, with extra medals available for purchase on race day. This year, we’re thrilled to introduce the 1 Mile Hero Race, supporting veterans and individuals with intellectual disabilities, in partnership with Xceptional Heroes. Don’t miss this chance to make a difference while enjoying a fun-filled day of fitness and camaraderie!

As a result of the Mill St construction and detoured traffic routes, the Freedom 4 Veterans Race on May 24 will be relocated to the Clio City Park at Pavilion #3, and will NOT be held at Clio Veterans Memorial Park. This modification is made with the safety of participants, residents, and volunteers in mind.
Parking options will be accessible at the Clio City Park and Clio Middle School adjacent to the park. Your patience as we navigate this transition is appreciated.

XH is a nonprofit organization facilitating social, recreational and skill building opportunities for adults living with intellectual disabilities throughout Genesee County.
