Join us for the exhilarating Cockaponsett Trails to a Cure event on Sunday, September 20th, 2026, set in the picturesque Chester, Lower Connecticut River Valley. Runners can choose between two challenging trail races: a 4-mile course that serves as the first segment of the 9-mile race. Both routes wind through the stunning Cockaponsett State Forest, offering an adventurous mix of roots, rocks, muddy sections, and hills that will test your endurance and spirit. Water stations will be conveniently located at miles 2, 4, 6, and 7 to keep participants refreshed.

This exciting event starts with bib pick-up at 8 AM and the race kickoff at 9 AM. Please note that there is no race day registration, and out-of-state participants will need to pay a parking fee. In a special gesture, runners aged 75 or older can enjoy free race registration. By participating, you'll not only challenge yourself but also support a great cause, as all proceeds benefit PanCAN in memory of Steve Hancock. If running isn’t your thing but you still want to get involved, volunteers are welcome to assist with various tasks on race day.
