This in-person and virtual run will kick off at 8:00 AM, starting at the scenic St. Thomas Church and finishing on the Aquin Schools football field. With a course-certified 4-mile circuit, runners of all levels are encouraged to participate and enjoy the vibrant atmosphere.
Registration and packet pickup will be available from 7:00 to 7:45 AM at St. Thomas Church, making it easy to get ready for this memorable event. As we honor the legacy of Colby J. Smith, participants can look forward to trophies for the top overall male and female winners, as well as medals for the top three male and female runners in all age groups. All participants will receive a stylish long sleeve tech t-shirt. IN-PERSON REGISTRATION WILL BE AVAILABLE SATURDAY, AUGUST 24TH FROM 7:00-7:45AM AT ST. THOMAS CHURCH. PACKET PICKUP IS ALSO SATURDAY, AUGUST 24TH FROM 7:00-7:45AM AT ST. THOMAS CHURCH. THE RACE WILL BEGIN AT 8:00AM.
Join us for a 4-mile, course-certified Rockford Road Runners circuit race. This unique course begins at St. Thomas Church (1400 Kiwanis Dr, Freeport, IL) and ends on the Aquin Schools football field (across from 902 E Empire St, Freeport, IL). Transportation is available at the finish line back to St. Thomas Church.
Every year, we honor the memory of Colby J. Smith with the Colby Smith Memorial 4-Mile Classic and Colby Smith Memorial Scholarship Fund.
Trophies are awarded to the top overall male and female winners and medals are given to the top three male and female runners in all age groups. All participants will receive a long sleeve tech t-shirt.
