Take a 'cold-stunned' plunge into the chilly Atlantic in support of sea turtles on the Georgia coast! Join us for the annual fun-and-frigid fundraising event for the Jekyll Island Authority's Georgia Sea Turtle Center. Many sea turtles get caught in hypothermic water temperatures during the winter months, and your support will assist with cold-stun rehabilitation and recovery. Take the plunge and raise some funds!

Where: Take an icy dip in the beach waters at the Jekyll Island Beach Village.



ON FRIDAY NOVEMBER 29TH YOU CAN PICK UP YOUR TSHIRT AT THE JEKYLL ISLAND GUEST INFORMATION CENTER FROM 1PM-4PM.

WHEN: SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 30, 2024, AT 10:30 A.M.

REGISTRATION OPEN: 9:30 A.M.

PLUNGERS SHOULD BE ON THE BEACH AND READY TO PLUNGE AT 10:15 A.M.

There will be on-site EMS and public safety staff.

Advance Registration: $35

After November 18th: $40

Day-of Registration: $45

Virtual Participation: $40

Plungers will receive a 2024 branded t-shirt.

REGISTER BY OCTOBER 26TH TO GUARANTEE A T-SHIRT. T-SHIRT NOT GUARANTEED AFTER THIS DATE.

SWITCHING TO VIRTUAL MUST BE COMPLETED BY NOVEMBER 11TH, 2024. NO CHANGES WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER THIS DATE.

All ages are welcome to participate.

All children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult on the beach.

No refunds, rain or shine event. Canceled for extreme weather conditions only.

BYOT - bring your own towel and dry clothes.

Funds raised will benefit the Georgia Sea Turtle Center on behalf of the Jekyll Island Foundation.

Picked the wrong size? - participants are welcome to exchange their t-shirt at the end of the event at the registration table, pending what sizes remain available.
