On the list of good reasons to run, cookies and a good cause have to be near the top. This is a 5K to benefit the Sustainability Fund at Mar Lu Ridge, a Lutheran summer camp and retreat center.
Not the race to set your PR on, this course starts halfway down the hill leading to Mar Lu Ridge. The first mile is downhill, and then the next two miles are up the mountain for about 450 feet of elevation gain.
The race benefits the newly established Sustainability Fund to assist Mar Lu Ridge with paying for summer staff.
What you get: a one of a kind race medal, a Mar Lu Ridge bandana with the topographical map of the mountain on it, and COOOOOOOOOOKIES!!!!!!!!!!
