Join us for the exciting 1st Annual Crusader Cross Country Classic on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at the beautiful Monsignor Kehren Stadium in Muskegon! This vibrant event kicks off with the High School Boys race at 8:15 AM, followed by the High School Girls at 9:00 AM, and concludes with the Alumni & Community Race at 9:45 AM. The Alumni & Community Race is open to all, offering a fantastic opportunity to reconnect with friends and support the local community.
Participants can register for just $25 until August 21, with registration increasing to $30 on race day. The course features a fast and flat 5k that starts and finishes on the historic cinder track, winding through the scenic athletic fields of Muskegon Catholic Central. With plenty of restrooms and first aid available, you can focus on enjoying the day and competing for a good cause, as all proceeds support the Cross Country and Track & Field programs at MCC. (Use entrances on Barclay St as the entrances on Laketon will be closed)
8:15 am High School Boys
9:00 am High School Girls
9:45 am Alumni & Community Race
ALUMNI & COMMUNITY RACE:
Open to all. Registration is on RunSignUp
ENTRY FEE:
Registration is $25 until August 21 (price goes up to $30 on race day)
Race proceeds support the Cross Country and Track & Field programs at MCC.

The Crusader 5k is our new course that starts and finishes on the old cinder track inside the stadium and goes around the school athletic fields and grounds. The course follows much of the same path as the old course (without the hairpin turn!), so it is still flat and fast and spectator friendly.
RESTROOMS:
There are plenty of restrooms available inside the stadium.
FIRST AID:
Athletic trainer is available near the finish line.
