SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 7TH SAM HOUSTON PARK
Get ready for one of the most mentally and physically challenging races around. Death By A Mile kicks off at 8:00 AM and doesnt stop until theres only one man and one woman left standing. If you cantor wontfinish your mile in the given time window, youre out. Prizes go to the final male and female standing.
SPACE IS LIMITED TO THE FIRST 50 PEOPLE WHO REGISTERDONT WAIT!
THE FORMAT:
Its just one mile.... Right?
* 8:00 AM 10:00 AM: Run 1 mile every 30 MINUTES
* 10:00 AM 12:00 PM: Run 1 mile every 20 minutes
* 12:00 PM 2:00 PM: Run 1 mile every 15 minutes
* 2:00 PM 4:00 PM: Run 1 mile every 12 minutes
* 4:00 PM 6:00 PM: Run 1 mile every 10 minutes
* 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM Run 1 mile every 8 minutes
* 8:00PM Every 6 minutes until only two runners remain (one man and one woman)
COURSE INFO:
The loop starts and ends at the LARGE PAVILION NEAR THE BOARDWALK at Sam Houston Park. The course will be clearly marked with flags. After every loop, runners must return to the start line to get their BIB PUNCHEDthis is how we verify each completed lap.
AID STATION & WHAT TO BRING:
Well provide some food and drinks throughout the day, but this is a long eventpack like it.
Recommended:
* Nutrition, hydration, and snacks
* Headlamp or flashlight (it may get dark)
* Warm clothes (it might get cold)
* Chairs, towels, blankets, coolers, etc.

* Only ONE MALE and ONE FEMALE will be crowned champions and receive awards.
* All registered runners will receive an event shirt, BUT YOU MUST REGISTER BY JANUARY 7TH TO GUARANTEE A SHIRT. No exceptions.
RULES:
* Be honest. Complete your full mile before returning for a bib punch.
* Be respectful. This is a shared public park.
* Keep it simple: Check in. Run your loop. Get your punch. Repeat.
* Have fun! The format is social and a great way to meet fellow runners.
