Join us for an unforgettable adventure at the Desperado Gravel Run & Ruck, _Saturday May 17, 2025_, held at the scenic Desperado Resort, recently acquired and being renovated by Demolition Ranch, in Boerne, TX! Whether you're a seasoned runner, a weekend warrior, or looking to test your endurance with a ruck, this race has an adventure for you.

DISTANCES: 20, 10k & 5k Gravel Run, and 20k & 10k Ruck Challenge. The courses will be loop style courses. One 5k loop for the 5k, the 10k will be one loop with the 20k running that loop twice.

WATER STOPS/AID STATIONS: There will water on the course in two locations that everyone will hit at least once and Tailwind at the 10/20k aid station and at the finish line. Please be sure to thank our amazing course volunteers for their support!
TERRAIN: Experience a mix of gravel roads, winding trails, and rolling hills that showcase the rugged beauty of the Desperado Resort. This race does contain some technical areas that may be challenging for beginners and experienced runners alike!
LOCATION: Desperado Resort https://desperadooutdoors.com/ 10 minutes outside Boerne, TX and 40 minutes outside San Antonio, TX. Formerly the Guadalupe River Ranch, the Desperado Resort is now an adventurer's destination with nearly a mile of Guadalupe Riverfront access, running/hiking trails, a gun range, primitive camping, lodging, and more. PACKET PICK UP: Packet pick up will be held at iRun Texas Dominion (22211 IH 10West #1107A SATX 78256) location on Thursday May 15th from 10am-6:30pm, Friday at iRun Broadway (4001 Broadway, SATX 78209) from 10am-7pm and race day morning at Desperado Resort from 6am-7:15am. Race day registration will be available but is highly discouraged.

20K & 10K RUCK RULES: All participants must wear a weighted ruck pack and must keep the required weight in the pack for the entirety of the race. Weight cannot be anything consumable and must be carried on your back. No crossbody or duffle bags will be allowed. For participants weighing under 150lbs packs must weigh 20lbs or more. For participants weighing 150lbs or more packs must weigh 30lbs or more. Cut off time for the 20k is 6 hours. This is roughly a 28 minute pace.

BUDDY PASS: Because Desperado Resort is an abandoned resort currently being brought back to life by Demolition Ranch, with access to amenities while on the property, all spectators are required to pay an entrance fee. Race participant's entrance fee is covered in their race registration. The "Buddy Pass" will cover the entrance fee, river access, and will allow the spectator to partake in beer (for those 21+) and other post-race festivities.

COURSE INFO: This course is a mixture of gravel roads and raw, technical trails. It is not a stroller friendly course so please plan ahead if you have little ones attending with you. The course will be marked with chalk arrows, ground signage and ribbons in the trees to ensure that you find your way so be sure that you are looking ahead so you don't miss an arrow or ribbon!

PETS: We love our four-legged friends, and they are welcome on the property but not on the trails during the race. Please plan according if you plan to bring your furry friends along. Remember it will be getting warmer by mid-May so please bring them plenty of water!
