DOWNINGTOWN MIDDLE SCHOOL WINTER RUNNING CLUB
Join us for a 13-week winter running program (from the week of December 3rd through the week of March 3rd) to enhance your running skills and knowledge! Whether you're looking to improve your endurance, speed, or overall fitness, this club is designed for middle school runners looking to progress their:
* Running Technique
* Speed Development
* Strength and Conditioning
* Flexibility & Mobility
* Agility Work
* Nutrition for Runners
* Mental Performance
ATHLETES WILL MEET IN ROOM A123 AFTER SCHOOL before walking together to the track. All practices will be held outdoors, weather permitting (temperatures above 20^0F), so be sure to dress in layers and come prepared!
PRACTICES WILL END PROMPTLY AT 4:15 PM, AND PARENTS MUST PICK UP RUNNERS AT THAT TIME, AS COACHES ARE UNABLE TO STAY BEYOND THIS PERIOD.
This program is ideal for runners who already have a basic fitness level, can run for at least 20 minutes continuously, and average a mile time of less than 10 minutes. Athletes should have a newer pair of running specific shoes, hats, gloves, a water bottle and extra snack for after the run.
