Get ready to lace up your running shoes for the exciting Dolphin Dash 5K & 1 Mile Fun Run, scheduled for Saturday, February 18, 2023, in the picturesque Holmes Beach area of Manatee County, Florida! This annual event, now in its 15th year, promises a delightful day of family-friendly fun, featuring a flat and fast out-and-back course that winds through the charming residential streets of Holmes Beach. Participants of all ages are invited to join in the 5K or the 1 Mile Fun Run, with all proceeds benefiting the Anna Maria Elementary School's Parent-Teacher Organization.
While this year's race has been unfortunately canceled due to construction and unsafe road conditions, the Dolphin Dash team is already looking forward to an amazing event in 2024! In the past, this beloved race has made a significant impact on the local community, funding essential improvements for the school, and encouraging local businesses to unite and support each other. WE REGRET TO INFORM THE COMMUNITY THAT DUE TO CONSTRUCTION AND UNSAFE ROAD CONDITIONS, THE 2023 DOLPHIN DASH WILL NOT TAKE PLACE. WE LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING YOU IN 2024!
The 15th Annual Dolphin Dash is a family friendly 5k and 1 Mile fun run officiated by the Bradenton Runners Club that starts and ends at Anna Maria Elementary School on beautiful Anna Maria Island. It's a flat & fast out & back course through residential Holmes Beach. All proceeds from the race benefit the Anna Maria Elementary PTO. In past years, this race has provided improvements such as a new stage in the auditorium for the school plays, overhead projectors in the classrooms, new cafe tables for the kids to eat lunch, new benches in the pick up line and expansion of the estuary to the whole school. The featured design on the T-shirt is an Anna Maria Elementary student selected from an art contest led by Mr. Wooten, the Art Teacher. In addition, this year there has been a strong emphasis on earning sponsorships from island businesses to gain attention to the local community that has been affected by the Red Tide. THANK YOU for your generosity and support of the students of Anna Maria Elementary!!
IMPORTANT: ALL PRE-REGISTRATION MUST BE DONE ONLINE. THERE IS NO MAIL-IN OR IN-PERSON PRE-REGISTRATION.
RACE DAY REGISTRATION FOR THE 5K AND 1 MILE WILL BE AT THE START/FINISH AREA. REGISTRATION FOR 5K CLOSES AT 7:45 A.M. AND YOU MAY PAY WITH CASH, CHECK, OR CREDIT CARD. REGISTRATION FOR 1 MILE WILL REMAIN OPEN UNTIL 8:45 A.M. HOWEVER CREDIT CARDS CAN ONLY BE ACCEPTED UNTIL 7:45 A.M. AFTER 7:45 A.M. YOU MUST PAY WITH CASH OR CHECK ONLY. THANK YOU.
**We are currently accepting donations immediately for light after race snacks and donations for the race bags. Please contact Kelly Gitt, Race Coordinator at 941.799.9299 or email [email protected] for further information. Serious inquiries only please.

* There are no finisher medals
