Running from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM, this event is all about the thrill of the game rather than speed. With no official route, you have the flexibility to visit as many or as few locations as you wish, making it perfect for both serious poker players and casual walkers. While cash for food and drinks is encouraged, your entry includes a special Dealers Dash hat if registered by February 24, along with a list of stops and a lanyard for your cards. Organiser's Description
The Pine Belt Pacers along with Fleet Feet and Southern Prohibition Brewing present the inaugural edition of the Downtown Dealers Dash poker run! This event will be a day of outdoor fun exploring the Longleaf Trace, starting from the SoPro Taproom in Downtown Hattiesburg, and visiting up to six different stops along the way to collect poker cards and make the best hand. Your entry into the event does not cover food and drink, but we encourage you to bring some cash and look for special menu items along the way! Entry _does_ include a list of included stops, a lanyard to hold the cards you collect along the way, and entry before February 24th will include a nice Dealers Dash (one size fits most) hat! While there may be prizes for completing the circuit quickly, this is not a race. The overall winner will be the one with the best poker hand at the end of the day. The event will take place from 2:00-6:00 PM with door prizes, the grand prize being announced at 6:30, and an afterparty at SoPro. _You must be 21 to win!!_ Packet pickup will be available Friday March 7 from 5-7 PM and Saturday March 8 from 11AM-2PM at Southern Prohibition.

* Drawing cards:
* At each checkpoint, you will draw a card from the top of a deck of playing cards.
* Each card will be punched for each location.
* Building a hand:
* Participants build their poker hand by drawing cards at each checkpoint.
* You may collect cards from each location, but only five may be used to build your hand.
* You are not required to visit all locations, but it sure helps your chances!
* Winning hand:
* The participant with the best poker hand at the end of the run wins.
* There will be other prizes for different hands, as well as random door prizes!
* The winner is determined by traditional poker hand rankings, such as "two pairs" or "straight flush".
* Ties:
* If there is a tie, the winner will be deterred by one poker hand.
* Each participant will be dealt five cards, best hand wins.
* No duplicate cards:
* Participants cannot use duplicate cards.
* If they draw an identical card, they must draw an additional card.
* Joker card:
* The Joker card is wild.
* Suit ranking:
* There is no ranking between suits. For example, the king of hearts and the king of spades are equal.
* Time limit:
* The event has a time limit, but participants are not timed individually.
* Transportation:
* This event must be completed on foot!
* No Bicycles, No motor vehicles, no golf carts.
* Use of any transportation that is not medically mandated will result in disqualification.
