The course features a captivating out-and-back layout with a lollipop loop, showcasing the park’s picturesque trails, including flat dirt paths, sandy sections, and roots that offer a true adventure in the Pine Wood Forest.
As you navigate the course with only your headlamp to guide you, expect to get a little dirty while having the time of your life! Safety is a top priority, with reflective arrows, water aid stations, and experienced volunteers ensuring a seamless experience. The race kicks off at 6 PM, but be sure to arrive early for same-day packet pickup starting at 4:30 PM. After the race, stick around for a celebration at 8:30 PM, where you can enjoy complimentary refreshments, burgers, and music to cap off an unforgettable night. The adrenaline-pumping race gets everyone hooked on trail running. Disconnect, as you only focus on what your headlamps allows you to see. Expect to get dirty while having the greatest time of your life as you conquer the DTR 10 MILE NIGHT TRAIL RUN. Join us on November 16th, 2024 as we light up the night at Jonathan Dickinson State Park.
THE COURSE
FLASHLIGHTS / HEADLAMPS REQUIRED ON COURSE

Run the beautiful trails at Jonathan Dickinson State Park. The course is an out and back with a lollipop loop. The course will be heavily marked with reflective arrows and wrong-way signs, employing the same safety procedures we use for our ULTRA-TRAIL events, including water aid stations, experienced trail-running volunteers, and medical staff. The trail is mostly flat dirt with some sand, and roots within the Pine Wood Forest section of the park. The trail starts as double-track with some single-track trails with 2 bridge crossings. The course can be wet in some sections depending on rainfall. We can never say for sure what the Owl will bring on race day but the course can be 100% bone dry or you might have to bring your snorkels. Lol
