Organiser's Description
Eddy Trail Races are based at Chi Rho Center on the south side of Lake Sylvia, on the outskirts of Annandale, MN. The 50k and a half marathon run through the Stanley Eddy Park Reserve, a wonderful series of trails in our nook of the state. Big Eddy and The Eddy are more than just races, they are beautiful MN trails, an experience of elevation, pain, perseverance, comradery, and so much more! Whether you are new to the trails or these distances or you are a seasoned trail distance runner, both races will push you to your limit and give you great success. Our aid station crews will be supporting you every step of the way.

The main race goal of Eddy Trail Races is to run through Stanley Eddy Park Reserve and Big Eddy loops through each of the parks, as well as running the roads that connect the parks and Chi Rho Center. There is 1 main aid station that you will run through 6 times and 3 other aid stations that you will run by 2 times each. That makes 12 aid stations over the course of 32 miles so you are never far away from support if its needed. The course is closer to 51 or 52 kilometers than 50, but we wont tell anyone if you dont winking face Cross the finish line and jump in the lake when youre done! The Eddy is a wonderful mix of trails, gravel and a little bit of paved road. 8 miles of trails, 3 miles of gravel, and some pavement at the start and end of the race. 3 different aid stations, 1 that you pass by 3 times, so you will never be too far from water or help should you need it. Stanley Eddy Park Reserve is beautiful and very scenic while being hilly and a challenging run. Cross the finish line and jump in the lake when youre done! The Eddy Half Marathon was such a memorable experience! The course was a moderately difficult trail that the storm the night before made even more challenging, but in the best way possible. Communication from the organizers before the event was top-notch, clear, and incredibly helpful. The location at the Chi Rho Center was beautiful and added to the charm of the day.
I didn’t join in on the events the night before, but I’m already planning to take part next year. The whole day had the feel of running a race with a bunch of friends; warm, welcoming, and full of camaraderie. Highly recommend this race to anyone looking for a scenic, well-organized, and slightly adventurous trail run!
