WHO WE ARE: The Emerald Angels of the Gulf Coast 99s is a chapter of Ninety-Nines Inc. . Our chapter promotes advancement of aviation through education, scholarships, and mutual support while honoring our unique history and sharing our passion for flight. The Ninety-Nines Inc. is an international organization of women pilots from 40+ countries with thousands of members throughout the world. We are a non-profit, charitable membership corporation holding 501(c)(3) U.S. tax status with our international headquarters located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Ninety-Nines are airline, industry, and government pilots. We are astronauts and aviation performers. We are pilots who teach and pilots who fly for pleasure. We are pilots who are technicians, mechanics, and professionals. We are pilots who are learning and experienced pilots who are building new ratings and endorsements. OUR PURPOSE: Our goal is to promote aviation for women of all ages and backgrounds by providing aviation scholarships that assist with expenses related to learning to fly or to further one's training.

WHO CAN WALK-RUN: This event is open to anyone of any age, gender, and skill level that would like to contribute to the future of women pilots. You may complete the 5K Walk-Run anytime, anywhere, day or night. You may walk, jog, run, or any combination. You can complete the 5K in your own neighborhood, on a trail, on a treadmill, at the mall, or anywhere you choose. Everyone can participate regardless of skill level because you can split the 5K into smaller increments spread out over time or complete it all at once. You can chose to track or not track your 5K. It is about getting out there and moving while supporting aviation scholarships.

* Complete your 5k between June 07, 2023 and January 12, 2025
* Share your experience with us on Instagram at #EAGC99s or upload a picture to runsignup.com

PARTICIPATION GIFT:

A beautiful patch was custom designed by one of our own chapter members to represent the Emerald Angels of the Gulf Coast Chapter of the Ninety-Nines.The center wing represents pilots and has the 99 logo in the center of the wing. The aircraft is a PA-28 with the colors of the sunset in the background. The turquoise waves under the water represent the beautiful colors of the Gulf. The patch is 4" in diameter and has a hook and loop backing. The wing is sewn with metallic thread. You may choose to receive this patch during the registration process.
