Join us for the 10th Annual Eva K. Bowlby Library Turkey Trot on Saturday, November 21, 2026, in Waynesburg, Greene! This family-friendly event features a 5K run/walk and a special 1K Children's Fun Run, providing an excellent opportunity for community members to come together and support the library's mission of enriching lives through learning and recreation. The event kicks off at the Bowlby Library Gazebo, starting with a 1K Pet Walk at 9:00 AM, followed by the Children's Fun Run at 9:15 AM, and the 5K events at 9:30 AM.
Participants can look forward to exciting awards for the top 3 male and female runners and walkers in various age categories, as well as medals for the top 3 finishers in the Children's Fun Run. With childcare available and fun activities for kids, parents can enjoy the race knowing their little ones are entertained. Hot beverages and light snacks will be provided to keep everyone energized. Event proceeds will provide needed support to meet the library's mission:
_The Eva K. Bowlby Public Library connects the community with opportunities to enrich lives through empowerment, lifelong learning, and recreation while opening windows to the world and inspiring exploration and achievement. _
WHEN & WHERE?
The event will be held on Saturday, November 21, 2026 beginning & finishing at the Bowlby Library Gazebo.

9:15 - 1K CHILDRENS FUN RUN (ages 1-12)

FREE CHILDCARE AVAILABLE!! with children's activities, while parents run or walk in the 5K.
AWARDS will be given to the top 3 Male & Female 5K Runners & 5K Walkers in each age category. The award ceremony will be held immediately following the race at the Gazebo. Medals are also given to the top 3 in each Age Category in the 1K Childrens Run.

If you are unable to participate in the 5K Turkey Trot, but would still like to donate, you can click the "DONATE" button at the top of the page and indicate your donation amount. If you are unable to participate in person or would like to participate virtually and would like a T-Shirt, select "PARDONED TURKEY".
T-SHIRTS can be picked up on race day at the library.
