Richmond, VA Experience Dragon Boat Racing with GWN Dragon BoatSo you want to try dragon boat racing this summer, but are unsure where to begin. Rounding up twenty friends and co-workers can be like herding cats—er, dragons. That’s exactly why we created a recreational program within Richmond, Virginia to help get you on the water this summer.
There is one Experience Dragon Boat Racing Program option available: the Race Ready Package.Race Ready PackageProgram DetailsGreat for locals who want to try a new sport or for paddlers who love to travel and want to join a team at the Richmond International Dragon Boat Festival.What you get:1 practice with a coach the week leading up to the Richmond International Dragon Boat Festival (Friday August 2nd, 6PM-6:50PM)All equipment provided (boats, paddles, lifejackets)Entry to the Richmond International Dragon Boat Festival along with the other program members on August 3rd, 2024Team shirt for the festivalTeam tent in the Athletes' Village at the festival
