FALL RUN THE FARM is a 5 mile trail race to be held at Muscoot Farm in Katonah/Somers, NY on October 19, 2025.
Race start times:
-8:30AM Kids race #1 [http://runthefarm.org/kids-race/] (Age 7-12)
-8:45AM Kids race #2 [http://runthefarm.org/kids-race/] (Age 6 & under) _Note: Kids Race #1 will be finished before Kids Race #2 gets underway._
-9:30AM Run The Farm [http://runthefarm.org/course-map/]
Note - kids ages are calculated as of the day of the race Oct 19th. So if your child turns 7 on Oct 19th they will run in Race #1.

Arrive at least 30 minutes before race start to park, get race bib, pick up shirt (if ordered), and get oriented and warmed up! At the end of the races, participants get "FARM BUCKS [https://runthefarm.org/farm-bucks/]" to spend in the Farmer's Market.
The race is put on to show off the beauty of the Muscoot park and to increase awareness of the weekly MUSCOOT FARMER'S MARKET [https://muscootfarm.org/farmers-market/] (Sundays from May-November) and other local farmer's markets in the area.
T-shirts are optional. We recommend purchasing shirts in advance since we have to order in advance and have run out of certain sizes on race day.
There are NO DOGS EVER ALLOWED AT MUSCOOT FARM [https://runthefarm.org/2012/09/reminder-no-dogs-at-muscoot/]. The farm is has many resident animals that are spooked by dogs of all sizes. This means dogs cannot run in the race.
SERVICE DOGS who are trained to perform a task are permitted by the ADA. Comfort dogs or emotional support dogs are not covered by the ADA and are not permitted at Muscoot Farm.

Fall Run the Farm 5 Miler

The 5 mile race course is a trail run and passes through farm roads, forests, meadows, along steep hills, and over stone walls. There are some small seasonal streams and one wooden bridge. There are no large stream crossings. The two largest hills are at the one mile (long, not so steep) and the three mile (short and steep!) marks. Depending on the weather for prior days and weeks and the season of the year, some of the course may be wet and muddy but most of the course is well drained. The race has filled up in the past about a week before the race date. We anticipate demand being high this year so sign up ASAP. -
Fall Kids Run the Farm (Race 1 - Age 7-12 Race)

This is the first race of the day - it is for kids age 7-12 years old. Kids races are split into two races by age range. -Race #1 (THIS RACE) is the 7-12 year olds. It is a 1.1 mile (2k) course. -Race #2 is for ages 6 and under. It is a 0.6 mile (1k) course. Both courses are entirely on trails and dirt tracks on the farm. No pavement will be crossed. The kids races have filled up in the past. We order a fixed number of kids finisher medals. *We cut off registration when we reach that number* so we don't run short on medals. We can't sign up anyone after that point even if you say "my kid won't take a medal at the finish" (try enforcing that!). -
