Birds of a feather, run together! This year, the Fountain Hills PTO will be hosting the 3rd annual Feathers & Flapjacks 5K & Fun Run for the whole community! A percentage of all registration fees goes right back to our school. So grab your friends, colleagues, and family members for a fun-filled day of Falcon spirit, community togetherness, and exercise! Following the 5K & Fun Run, the FHUSD PTO will be hosting a delicious pancake breakfast in the elementary school cafeteria.
The 5K will start promptly at 8:00 am with the 1 Mile walk to follow. The Fun Run will be four laps (1 mile) around the track. While the 5K will follow a desert trail behind the school property out on the state land with views of the McDowell and Four Peaks Mountain ranges. Course design in coordination with Paul Heintz, certified Race Director and Ironman Coach
Runners will be able to pick up race packets the evening before the event, January 10th at the McDowell Mountain Elementary School front office from 5 to 7 PM.
T-shirt Guaranteed if you register by 12/27/24. Any registration after 12/27/24 t-shirts will be upon availability.
In addition, participants may arrive anytime after 6am on race day to pick up their packets.
The top 3 finishers in each category will receive an honorary medal (age categories: 12 and under, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, & 60+) as well as the largest team to participate. All runners who register in advance by January 3rd will receive a special event shirt.
Please ONLY register for the pancakes if you will stay and eat the pancakes.
