Organiser's Description
* Registrations open August 1st, 2024. Thank you for your continued support year after year.
* The day of registration will open at 7:00 am and race will begin at 8:00 am. Pre-registered cost is $30; $20 for age 14 and under. After 01/22/25 cost is $40; $30 for age 14 and under. Day of Race registration is $50.
* Date of event is Sat. February 22, 2025
* This course has been measured to USA Track and Field Specifications by Gene Witkowski, course Certifier
* Location- 7270 SW 120th street, Pinecrest, Fl 33156 - St Louis Catholic Church
* (Race will leave and finish from 72nd st entrance to the church)
* Race will be through beautiful Pinecrest with road closures and safety managed by the Pinecrest Police Dept
* Definitely a family-friendly race!
* This 5K is part of the yearly St Louis Catholic Community's Festival for the Poor. 100% of the profits from the race and entire weekend Festival are donated to the needy in Dade County. 2015 Festival profit was $95,000 and ALL of it was given to charities that feed, clothe, house, counsel and aid the homeless, handicapped and indigent in our community. Some of the recipients are:
* Camillus House, Habitat for Humanity, St. Ann's Migrant Mission, KRISTI House; Project Cradle (AIDS prevention); Missionaries of Charity ( Mother Teresa's downtown homeless center); Project Gold (prevention of human trafficking), A Safe Haven for Newborns, Humanities Food Bank, PATCHES
* Each participant will receive a participation gift - tba
* We will have free granolas, waters, fruits etc
* There will be other vendors offering free services as well with products to try and to purchase
* Trophies will be awarded to overall male winners (1st, 2nd& 3rd) and overall female winners (1st,2nd & 3rd) as well as for the top three males and females in the following age divisions: 10 and under; 11-14; 15-19; 20-24; 25-29; 30-34; 35-39; 40-44; 45-49; 50-54; 55-59; 60-64; 65-69; 70-74; 75-79; 80 and above
* Awards will be given out thirty minutes after race has started (we understand the winners are fast runners and need their rest)
* Medals will be given for all participants
