Organiser's Description
Fleet Feet Topeka is offering a 16 week half marathon training for the TopCity Half Marathon and 5K. The TopCity race is on April 27, 2024. The training will begin January 13, 2024. The price will include coaching, a training plan specific for you, information on race day nutrition and hydration, group run days with routes marked, long runs will include pacers, you will receive store discounts two times during the 16 week training program, and the race entry fee is included in your training program if you choose the option with the race. HOKA will be doing demo runs for us 2 times during the training and also providing the shirt. Tailwind and other nutrition will be provided during the longer runs. Coach Sherry Hobson will have a schedule for 3 run days per week, one day will be speed or hills, one day will be a shorter group run, and Saturday or Sunday will be a group long run. We will have opportunities to meet with physical therapists about any issues that may arise in the training.
