Kick off the New Year with an exhilarating run at the First Day 5K in Whitinsville, Worcester, on Friday, January 1, 2027! This exciting race features a fast and flat USATF certified course, perfect for runners of all levels. The race begins with a thrilling downhill start on Main Street, taking participants through scenic Memorial Square and Linwood Avenue before a quick detour into the Northbridge High School parking lot. Runners will then enjoy a straight shot back to the finish line at Memorial Square, making for a memorable race experience.
With a capped field of only 300 runners, be sure to sign up early to secure your spot in this fantastic event! All registrants will receive a custom hat (for the first 225), along with a delicious pizza and beer ticket to enjoy post-race at the Gray Barn. Plus, participants aged 18 and under, as well as those over 70, can register for just $15. USATF Certified Fast and flat 5K course on closed roads! Start with a downhill running start on Main St just west of Whitin Community Center at Grove St before going through Memorial Square onto Linwood Ave. Take a quick spin into the Northbridge High School parking lot before continuing out Linwood Ave and turning around at the Linwood Mill (New China Pacific restaurant). Then it's a straight shot back to the finish line at Memorial Square on Linwood Ave.
Registration includes a custom hat (for 1st 225 registered), pizza and a beer ticket post-race at the Gray Barn.
