Get ready to soar at the 19th annual Fly with the Eagles Half Marathon, taking place on Saturday, February 8, 2025, in the picturesque town of Murphysboro, Jackson. This exciting event welcomes runners of all abilities to experience the thrill of a half marathon at the Southern Illinois Airport. As a cupless event, participants will enjoy a unique and eco-friendly approach, with volunteers providing water from pitchers to refill your bottles along the course.
All finishers will receive a custom Finishers Medal, and the top three overall male and female runners will be honored with special awards. With age group awards for participants ranging from 19 and under to 70 and over, everyone has a chance to shine! Don't forget to register by January 24th to secure your stylish hooded sweatshirt. Join us for a memorable day of running, camaraderie, and achievement where you can truly fly with the eagles!

PLEASE NOTE WE ARE PROUD TO BE A CUPLESS EVENT! CUPS WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE AT AID STATIONS; INSTEAD, WE WILL HAVE VOLUNTEERS WITH WATER PITCHERS TO EASILY FILL YOUR BOTTLES.

Unable to be here on race day? You can now participate in our Fly with the Eagles Virtual Half Marathon run on a treadmill, around your neighborhood or any course of your choosing. Simply run 13.1 miles between 2/1/24 to 2/9/24 and receive your custom finishers medal and hooded sweatshirt! Instructions to submit times will emailed to you. -
