Taking place at the picturesque White Hall Park in Richmond, Madison County, this exciting event kicks off at 8:30 AM and features a scenic loop course perfect for runners and walkers alike. Participants can choose to join the 5K Run/Walk, or let the little ones take part in the Kid's 1/4 Mile Dash or the Kid's 1/4 Mile Ride on Toy Race.
This year, the Fostering Hope 5K supports the Orphan Care Alliance, a vital ministry dedicated to helping vulnerable children and families in the foster and adoptive community across Kentucky and southern Indiana. By participating, you are not only engaging in a healthy activity but also making a meaningful impact on the lives of those in need. JOIN US FOR THE ANNUAL FOSTERING HOPE 5K & KID'S DASH ON SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 6, 2025 AT 8:30AM AT WHITE HALL PARK IN RICHMOND/MADISON COUNTY!
Raising Hope 5K will benefit ORPHAN CARE ALLIANCE (OCA). OCA is a ministry that operates throughout Kentucky and southern Indiana, mobilizing Christians to serve vulnerable children and families within the foster and adoptive community. OCA directly impacts youth with foster care and adoption history through their Life Coaching program. OCA Life Coaches are trained and then matched to mentor a youth in foster care: to be their friend and walk alongside them in life when they might not have anyone else. OCA supports children in foster care by meeting their physical, emotional, and therapeutic needs through the OCA Family Support, Life Coaching, and Family Preservation ministries
RACE FEATURES:
* Scenic loop course on paved trail/roadway surfaces through beautiful White Hall Park
* 5K Run/Walk, Kid's 1/4 Mile Dash, Kid's 1/4 Mile Ride on Toy Race and 5K Virtual option
* Create or join a race group/team. Invite your friends, family, & co-workers to join your team. We'll have a prize for the largest team.
* Commemorative race T-shirts (Unisex and Youth sizes). Register by August 22 to receive T-shirt.

* Referral Rewards (Refer 5 people who register for the race and get a $25 refund on your registration)

A manually timed 5K (3.1 miles) with awards presented for our top finishers (top 1st and 2nd male and female in each age bracket). Registrants receive a commemorative T-shirt. Register by August 22th to receive your T-shirt. Course is on paved trail/roadway surfaces. Dogs on fixed length leashes and strollers are welcomed. -
Kid's 1/4 Mile Dash

A fun, untimed 1/4 mile dash for the kiddos ages 9 and under. Each participating child will receive a commemorative participation medal. Parents may purchase a commemorative race shirt for a $10 add on charge. Order shirt by August 22th. -
Kid's 1/4 Mile Ride on Toy Race

It is a fun, untimed race for kids who want to bring their 6- or 12-volt ride-on toy (Peg Perego Tractor, PowerWheels Barbie Jeep, etc) on the 1/4 Mile Fun Run course. Kids aged 3-7 years. There are no prizes or awards for this event. -
Virtual Runner/Walker
Incl. $3.25 Fee & T-Shirt (Unisex Sized)

If you can't join us in person, consider signing up as a virtual runner/walker and you'll receive a commemorative race shirt while supplies last. Register by August 22th to receive a t-shirt. Run/walk your 5K in your own hometown on your own schedule. $30 donation (includes postage) to participate virtually. -

We need 6-8 volunteers to work a race day shift from 7am - 10:30am to make the race great. Volunteers receive a commemorative race T-shirt.
