Join us for the Frederick County Parks and Recreation Youth Running Club, a fantastic opportunity for kids aged 7-13 to embrace their love for running! Kicking off on Monday, August 17, 2026, and running through Thursday, October 15, 2026, this exciting program takes place in beautiful Winchester, Frederick.

Designed for young runners of all skill levels, participants will build endurance while learning proper running techniques, pacing, and the importance of teamwork. Each practice will involve continuous running for approximately 2 miles, ensuring that kids stay active and engaged. With meeting days on Mondays and Wednesdays at Sherando Park, and Tuesdays and Thursdays at Red Bud Elementary, sessions run from 6:00 to 7:00 PM, making it convenient for your family's schedule.

Registration also includes entry into fun events such as the Trails 4 Miles on September 26 and the Thanksgiving Day 5K, along with an intersquad mile fun run. Don't forget to bring running shoes, a water bottle, and plenty of enthusiasm! Come and help your young athlete reach new heights while making friends and unforgettable memories in a supportive environment. We can't wait to see their progress!
