Join us for the annual Freedom 5K on Sunday, November 5th, 2023, at University Park, Centre! This spirited event, held at Penn State, is dedicated to honoring our veterans who have selflessly sacrificed for our freedom. This year, the Freedom 5K is proud to support the Penn State Military Student fund, which helps local veterans and their families access educational programs at the university.
The festivities kick off with bib collection at 10 AM, followed by the race starting at 10:30 AM behind the iconic Pattee/Paterno library on Pollock Road. Whether you choose to run or walk, everyone is welcome to participate in this meaningful event. Best of all, attendance is completely free, although donations are strongly encouraged to support our veterans. Come out, make a difference, and enjoy a day of community spirit!

The annual Freedom 5K takes place once a year at Penn State and aims to raise money on behalf of veterans who sacrificed for our freedom. This year the event has decided to sponsor the Penn State Military Student fund, which enables local veterans and their families to attend classes and programs here at Penn State.
