This unique relay race features a two-mile loop course that teams of five will complete for a total of 10 miles, all set against the beautiful backdrop of the French Broad River Greenway. The race kicks off at 10:00 AM at Jean Webb Park, located at 15 Riverside Dr, where participants will honor the dedicated women who worked to protect this beautiful river.

A portion of the proceeds will be donated to RiverLink Asheville, celebrating the legacies of Jean Webb, Karen Cragnolin, and Wilma Dykeman. Plus, every participant will enjoy a complimentary yoga class from Hot Yoga Asheville and a refreshing beer from RAD Brewing Company post-race (21+ only). With limited parking available, carpooling is encouraged to make this event as enjoyable as possible. Organiser's Description
The French Broad 10 Mile Relay is a two-mile loop course meant to be completed by teams of five for a total of 10 miles. The inaugural event will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2024 at 10:00 AM on the French Broad River Greenway. The Start/Finish area is located at the gear in the Jean Webb Park along the French Broad River Greenway at approximately 15 Riverside Dr. This race commemorates the women who tirelessly worked to preserve the well-being of the French Broad River that runs through Asheville. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to RiverLink Asheville in honor of Jean Webb, Karen Cragnolin, and Wilma Dykeman. The 2024 French Broad 10 Mile Relay is brought to the community by Jus' Running and presented by the Webb Family.
The turnaround point will be one mile down from the start/finish area and marked with an orange cone.
Parking is limited to street parking and public parking lots in the River Arts District. Please carpool if possible!
Each participant is given one free yoga class from Hot Yoga Asheville (QR code available at packet pick up 9/20 and 9/21) and one free beer from RAD Brewing Company after the race (must be 21+; ID and race bib must be present to claim offer; offer only valid 9/21/24).
