Join us for the exciting 20th annual Friends of McCormick's Creek 5K Run/Walk on Saturday, April 18th, 2026, in the beautiful McCormick's Creek State Park located in Spencer, Owen. This race, part of the MAG 7 Series, features a fast course with rolling hills, perfect for both seasoned runners and enthusiastic walkers.
Race day kicks off with packet pick-up from 7:00 AM to 8:15 AM at the Nature Center, followed by a prompt start at 8:30 AM. After the race, enjoy refreshments and participate in the awards ceremony where prizes will be awarded to the top male and female overall finishers, as well as top age group winners. Don’t forget, those who register before April 3, 2026, will receive a commemorative race shirt while supplies last! Race-day registration will be available for $30 starting at 7:00 AM. Come out and support the efforts to preserve the natural and cultural heritage of McCormick's Creek State Park while enjoying a day of fitness and fun!

The Friends of McCormick's Creek are pleased to host their 20th annual 5K road race on Saturday, April 18th. THIS IS A MAG 7 SERIES RACE. It's a fast course with rolling hills in McCormick's Creek State Park. Proceeds will be used to develop and support projects and events that help preserve, restore, manage, and interpret the natural and cultural heritage and recreational opportunities of McCormicks Creek State Park. PACKET PICK-UP IS 7:00AM-8:15AM at the Nature Center on race day. THE RACE STARTS PROMPTLY AT 8:30AM. Refreshments and an awards ceremony follow the race.
