Run with friends and family at the Frosty 5K and Jingle Bell Mile!
The 23rd annual Frosty 5K is the 10th and final race in the 2025 RunAbout Race Series presented by Roots Realty Group. Net proceeds from this race will be donated to a charity chosen by the participants. In addition, this race always has great door prizes!
Every 5K participant is guaranteed a long-sleeve shirt with registration on or before December 10th! Those who register after December 10th can choose from remaining sizes while quantities last. Jingle Bell Mile participants have the option to purchase a shirt during registration while supplies last.
LOCATION:
The start and finish are located BEHIND the Food Lion Grocery store on North Main Street in Blacksburg. The best place to park is at the shopping center and then walk behind the shopping center up the hill to the soccer field. The field is beside the Hunter Ridge Apartments.
EVENT SCHEDULE:
Packet Pickup at RunAbout Sports (Dec 23rd): 3 pm - 6 pm
Packet Pickup at Race: 11:30 am - 12:45 pm
Jingle Bell 1 Mile Fun Run Start: 12:30 pm
Frosty 5K Start: 1:00 pm
Awards and Raffle: ~2:15 pm
COURSE:
The Frosty 5K is a rolling course on the bike paths and roads of the Shenandoah neighborhood. The race finishes with a short grass loop on even terrain. The race has a fast 1st mile and a challenging last mile to help burn those holiday calories! There's an aid station just past 2 miles. The Jingle Bell Mile is an out-and-back course on the same grass loop and bike paths as the Frosty 5K course.
