Join us on Sunday, November 15, 2026, for the 17th annual GCHS Turkey Trot in Scranton, Lackawanna! This exciting event features both a 5K and a 10K race, making it the perfect opportunity for runners of all levels to participate and make a difference in their community. Registration opens at 6:45 AM, with the races kicking off at 8:00 AM, followed by awards at 10:00 AM. Enjoy the festive atmosphere while supporting the Family to Family initiative, which provides Thanksgiving dinners to those in need through the efforts of Friends of the Poor and the Catherine McAuley Center.
The first 120 pre-registered participants will receive a complimentary t-shirt, with additional t-shirts available for purchase on race day. Families are encouraged to join in the fun at the TINY TROT FUN ZONE, featuring crafts and activities for kids of all ages. With registration fees at $30 for the 5K and $40 for the 10K (including a t-shirt), and free entry for children 12 and under, this event is a fantastic way to enjoy a healthy and fulfilling day with your loved ones. Geisinger College of Health Sciences is hosting its 17th annual Turkey Trot 5K/10K race! On November 15th, please enjoy the race day with us and benefit Family to Family, a movement to provide Thanksgiving dinners to hundreds of members of our Scranton community organized by Friends of the Poor and the Catherine McAuley Center, supported by a fund of the Scranton Area Community Foundation. The first 120 pre-registered participants will receive a complementary t-shirt. After the first 120 registrants, t-shirts will be available for purchase on race day.
