Practices will be held on Mondays and Wednesdays, offering a fantastic environment on state-of-the-art "all weather tracks" where many major meets take place. Expert coaches, including Coach Moomaw and Coach Barone, will guide participants through specialized training, covering jumps, sprints, relays, and throws, ensuring that every athlete receives the attention they need to thrive. Plus, first-time sign-ups in the 2024-25 school year will receive free team jerseys! Organiser's Description
FROM JAN 22ND UNTIL MARCH 5TH we will be conducting practice(s) at the Naples HS Track for our workouts on MONDAY AND WEDNESDAYS (See specific schedule below).This top notch facility will allow us to train on the "all weather tracks" that the big meets are held on (county, state, club meets, etc.) (This is SESSION 1 - Session 2 will begin 2 weeks after),
Coach Moomaw, Coach Barone, Coach Loux, and Coach Lauren will be assisted by other members of the GCR Youth Team Staff. Our GCR Youth Team Elementary Coordinator is Lauren Osborne. Lower grades parents K-2 are expected to stay on site during the 1 hour practice. Must be able to tie shoes and be bathroom independent.
The Middle School workouts, led by Elevate Training and Coach Moomaw, will be specifically geared towards athletes preparing for either the 400/800, 800/1600, or 1600/3200 (If you aren't sure, we will figure it out!)
Coaches will also be available to offer specialized training in the jumps, sprints, relays, throws (including turbo javelin) and more!
TEAM JERSEYS ARE PROVIDED FREE FOR THOSE SIGNING UP FOR THE FIRST TIME IN THE 2024-25 SCHOOL YEAR (same uniform as XC for all others!)
