Over the past 18 years, the Girlfriends and Pink Brigade have raised an incredible $900,000, all in honor of Joleen Skarberg, a beloved friend and breast cancer survivor who inspires many each year while running alongside her family and friends. Whether you choose to run, walk, or a mix of both, the focus is on camaraderie and support. Join us for a day of fitness, friendship, and making a difference!
Organiser's Description
The 19th Annual Girlfriends Run offers a Half Marathon, 10K & 6K designed specifically for women to get together to do something good for themselves and to help support a very important womens cause.
We started this event to honor and support one of our BFFs, Joleen Skarberg, who was diagnosed with Breast Cancer and continues to run it every year with her daughters, sisters, nieces, cousins and girlfriends! Watch for her shell be wearing #1!
About half the gals run, half walk and many do a combination of running and walking. It doesnt matter how you get to the finish line, as long as you get there!
