Join us for the inaugural Go Gray for Oaklee 5K Run/Walk and 1K Color Walk/Run on Saturday, September 20, 2025, in Iowa, Calcasieu! This exciting, family-friendly event supports the brave journey of 4-year-old Oaklee, who has shown incredible strength while battling an inoperable brain tumor. Runners and walkers of all ages are invited to participate in the 5K race starting at 7:30 AM and the colorful 1K fun run at 9:00 AM.
The 5K entry fee is $40 ($45 on race day) and includes a race t-shirt (guaranteed for online registration until August 30, 2025) and access to a variety of fun activities, including a black pot cook-off, silent auction, raffle, and more! For just $10, join the 1K Color Run, where participants are encouraged to wear white and splash in a rainbow of colors. Ages 3 and under can join for free! With awards for top finishers and a day filled with joy and community spirit, this event is a perfect way to support Oaklee and her family. Don’t miss out on this opportunity

Go Gray for Oaklee is excited to announce our first annual 5K and color run! Please join us at our family friendly event!
All proceeds will go towards Oaklee and her family to cover medical expenses, travel for treatment and giving Oaklee the comfort and care she deserves.
ABOUT OAKLEE AND HER JOURNEY
At just 11 months old, sweet Oaklee was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor. Since then, her journey has been nothing short of extraordinary. Now 4 years old, Oaklee is a bright, funny, and fearless little girl who continues to face every challenge with unimaginable strength.
In her short life, she has already endured brain surgeries, countless hospital stays, 48 rounds of chemotherapy and 18 months of RNA inhibitors. Recently, her tumor has started to grow again, causing her vision to decline even further.
Despite everything shes been through, Oaklees spirit remains unshaken. She lights up every room with her smile and continues to inspire everyone around her.

5K RACE BEGINS AT 7:30 AM

Race day registration begins at 6:30 AM the Iowa Park located near the pavilion. 115 N Thompson Ave., Iowa, LA 70647.
Packet pick up will be at Southern Bicycle, 615 E Prien Lake Rd, Lake Charles, LA 70601, on September 19th from 12PM until 5PM.
1K COLOR FUN RUN/WALK
1K COLOR RUN BEGINS AT 9:00 AM.
$10 entry for the color run
Ages 3 and under will be FREE.
T-Shirts are not included, wear white!
Awards will be given to top 3 runners in each age division. Awards will be custom hats and baked goods.
No award will be given for the Color Run.
5K RACE BEGINS AT 7:30 AM
1K COLOR RUN BEGINS AT 9:00 AM.
