Turkey, cornbread dressing, pumpkin pie, football, and family time there are so many reasons to love Thanksgiving! Did we mention pie? Each family has its own activities and traditions to look forward to. The Village Green offers a 5K Run/Walk turkey-trot, Gobble On the Green!



T-SHIRTS: THE FINAL T-SHIRT ORDER WILL BE PLACED AT 1:00PM ON NOV. 6TH. ADDITIONAL T-SHIRTS WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE ON RACE DAY THIS YEAR. T-SHIRTS ARE ONLY AVAILABLE TO THOSE REGISTERED BY NOVEMBER 6TH AT 12 PM.

PRE-RACE CHECK IN: Early check in will be available on Wednesday, November 25th from 3-6pm at The Village Green Lewis Hall (Address: 160 Frank Allen Road in Cashiers). Here, participants will receive their bib and t-shirt. Participants are strongly encouraged to check in early on November 25th to ensure an on-time race start on Thanksgiving morning.



Race day check-in will be available inside Lewis Hall from 7:30AM-8:45AM!



EVENT AND COURSE DETAILS: Please see the RACE COURSE MAP [https://runsignup.com/Race/Photos/Location/RouteMap2/NC/Cashiers/GobbleontheGreen] and written directions included on this race website. There will be signage and volunteers posted along the racecourse to assist with directions.



If you are a parent with a stroller, please start the race at the back of the group. Please keep in mind that some area of the race are gravel, grass, dirt, and paved. Also, while we are a dog friendly park, due to the number of participants, there is no dog participation in this event. _If spectators must bring their dog, they must be leashed and under control of their owner at all times. _

Parking: parking is available at The Village Play, the Jackson County Recreation Center, The Albert Carlton Cashiers Community Library, the Post Office parking lot (excluding the row closest to the building), and the grass lot behind the United Community Bank. All are about a 5 minute walk to the start of the race.

AWARDS: The top two overall winners (male and female) will receive pies in addition to race medals. Age level awards will be given to the top two finishers (male and female) in 7 age groups.



All participants' race times will be posted to the Gobble on The Green Run Sign Up website post race. Thank you for participating in the 2026 Gobble on The Green!
