Join fellow runners in this spirited event that encourages community engagement and healthy living as you kick off your Thanksgiving Day on a high note. Awards will be given to the top male and female finishers in both the 5K and 5 Mile distances, along with prizes for the top three in each age group. With snacks and beverages waiting for you at the finish line, the Gobbler Wobbler promises to be a fun-filled day for everyone involved. Organiser's Description
Thank you for considering Lapeer's only 5K and 5 Mile Turkey Trot. This low key 5K and 5 mile run through Lapeer, will take you through Mott Community College, behind Lapeer Lightning Stadium, looping through some scenic neighborhoods before turning on M21 for all to see, ending with a straight shot down back to Mott College where the Gobblers will be waiting! .
The course will be marked by a few cones with arrows, roads will remain open to traffic and participants are required to yield to traffic. You can find maps to our route in Strava format below. Finisher medals for all participants, snacks and beverages at the finish. This race will be chip timed, there are overall awards for first male and female in the 5K and 5Mile. Top 3 in age group in 5 year age groups.
A portion of the proceeds from this race will be used to give back to the Lapeer Community Schools.
We are trying to create a fun event for everyone to participate in, have some fun and start their Thanksgiving day off on the right foot. This is our third year and we are hoping to grow this race where we will eventually be Lapeer County's premier Turkey Trot. We appreciate your support!!!
