Get ready to lace up your running shoes for the 17th Annual Greely Hockey 5K Turkey Trot on Thursday, November 28, 2024! This exciting Thanksgiving Day event will take place in beautiful Cumberland, Maine, starting right in front of Greely High School on Main Street. Participants will enjoy a flat, USATF certified 5K course, making it perfect for runners of all levels. As you trot through this residential route, you'll be supporting the Greely Hockey Boosters, a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing the girls and boys ice hockey programs of MSAD #51.
With awards for the overall race winners and top finishers in various age groups, including a delightful freshly-baked pie of their choice from Toots in North Yarmouth, competitors have even more reason to push their limits! The first 150 registrants will receive a commemorative t-shirt, so be sure to sign up early. Kids aged 8 and under can participate for free, and strollers are welcome. Online registration is open until the morning of the race, so donโt miss out on this fantastic community event that combines fitness, fun, and philanthropy!

17TH ANNUAL GREELY HOCKEY THANKSGIVING DAY 5K ROAD RACE
Proceeds of this race benefit the Greely Hockey Boosters - a non-profit organization that supports, encourages, and advances the girls and boys ice hockey programs of MSAD #51.

Race begins on Main Street in Cumberland, Maine in front of Greely High School. The race finishes on the Greely track.
Awards:
Overall race winners (both male and female) as well as the top finishers in each of the following age groups: 12 and under, 13-19, 20-29, 3039, 4049, 5059, 60-69, 70+
Winners will receive a freshly-baked pie of their choice graciously donated by Toots in North Yarmouth
First 150 registrants receive a t-shirt, so register early!
Children age 8 and under may show up and run at no cost. If your child wants to be timed and wants to be eligible for a t-shirt, registration is required.
Please no dogs. No bikes or rollerblades. Strollers are allowed.
On-line registration will remain open until 7:45am the morning of the race. Pre-registered runners have the option to pick up their bibs on Tuesday, November 26th in the Greely High School cafeteria between 3:30-7pm or Wednesday, November 27th at Family Ice Center in Falmouth from 10-12pm.
For those who register after Tuesday, November 26th at 7pm or if you do not come to packet pick-up, you will need to check in at the Greely High School cafeteria the morning of the race between 7-7:45am to get your bib assignment.
Registration prices increase race day to $25 for students and $30 for adults, so register before midnight on 11/27.
All runners must register themselves online prior to the race. There will be no on-site registration or payments by cash or check as was done in previous years. Be sure to visit the race registration site to secure your spot!
