The course is predominantly flat and tree-lined, featuring 90% concrete sidewalks and 10% dirt/gravel paths, ensuring a beautiful and fast running experience. Organiser's Description
On March 1, 2025, The Waxahachie Running Club and the Midlothian Running Club join forces with the Waxahachie Lions Club to sponsor the Hachie 50. The event will benefit the Waxahachie Lion's Club, which supports local children and schools in Ellis County. Title Sponsors are: Edward Jones of Waxahachie -- Paul Box, Paul Colwell, Nick Box and Wess Winn.
The race is held in Waxahachie's Getzendaner city park that is mostly closed to traffic. Course is 90% on concrete sidewalks, 10% dirt/gravel. This is a beautiful, FAST, FLAT & Tree-lined out-n-back course!
We will have custom t-shirts for participants; unique custom medals; free online race photos; and lots of food and drinks during and after the event. Individual awards will be given to the Top 6 Men and Women in each event (no separate masters category). Relay event awards go top Top Male team, Top Female team & Top Coed Team

We are a friendly, family-oriented group that welcomes all levels; from beginners in our 5k training program up to competitive marathoners, ultra-marathoners, trail-runners and triathletes. Our goal is to bring runners and walkers together encouraging safe, friendly fun-runs. Started in June of 2011 we have grown to over 2300 members.
