This uplifting event honors the memory of Hailey Mae Matheson, a vibrant eight-year-old whose spirit continues to inspire our community. Participants can choose between an exhilarating 8K run or a leisurely 5K walk along the picturesque Rails to Trails.
All proceeds from this meaningful event will benefit the Hailey Matheson Memorial Scholarship Fund, supporting local graduating seniors in their pursuit of education. In addition to the race, enjoy the excitement of a basket raffle and 50/50 drawings immediately after the awards ceremony. Tickets for these fun prizes will be available exclusively at the event. Come together to celebrate Hailey's legacy while engaging in a day filled with community spirit and camaraderie!

The 3'rd Annual Hailey's Forever 8 will be held on Saturday May 31, 2024 at Ridgways Rails to Trails in memory of Hailey Mae Matheson.
In 2020 our eight-year-old Hailey passed away after a tragic accident. Hailey's life continues on in memory and will forever impact our community through a scholarship set up by her family. All proceeds from this race will be directed into the Hailey Matheson Memorial Scholarship Fund at the Elk County Community Foundation. The scholarship is awarded annually to a graduating senior in our community.
Hailey's Forever 8 consists of an 8K run or 5K walk on the Rails to Trails. Basket Raffle and 50/50 drawings held immediately after awards. Tickets can only be purchased at the event for basket raffle and 50/50.
