The route features mostly flat terrain with gentle hills, allowing everyone to enjoy the stunning views of the Sacramento River and the vibrant native flora along the way.

JOIN US IN CELEBRATING 20 YEARS OF HEALTHY SHASTA WITH A FUN WALK!
A family fun walk at Turtle Bay on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at 10am. Walkers can do a 1-mile loop or continue to complete the full course of 2.5 miles. The walk is mostly flat with a few slight gradual hills. Start/finish will be at the Gardens rain or shine!
PRE-REGISTER FOR THE WALK BY MARCH 27TH.
* Tshirt pick up and check-in will be at Fleet Feet, 1376 Hilltop Drive on FRIDAY, MARCH 28, 2-6 PM.
* T-shirt pick up on the day of the event will be in the Gardens near restrooms at 9am.
ROUTE: Starting at the north side of the Sundial bridge at the entrance of the Gardens, the route will go through the Gardens, loop back on the Sacramento River Trail for the first mile and then will continue around the Arboretum loop, ending back at the Gardens. Walkers will get a sneak preview of the GLOWING WILD SHOW (opening the first weekend in April), then will enjoy beautiful views of the Sacramento River and finish with exploring the native plants and trees of the Arboretum loop.
