This uplifting event is dedicated to honoring the memory of Courtney Frazine, a beloved runner and elementary teacher who was taken too soon. The Heart & Sole 5K is not just a race; it’s a celebration of community and giving back, with proceeds benefitting local charities including READ Muskegon, Love INC of Muskegon, and Kids Food Basket, all of which were dear to Courtney’s heart.
Starting at 8:30 AM, participants can choose to run or walk the 5K course, and everyone will receive a stylish long-sleeved "Dri-Fit" tech shirt! Awards will be presented to the top overall finishers as well as age group winners, ensuring a competitive yet friendly atmosphere. Last year, the event raised an impressive $18,000, making a significant impact in the Muskegon community. The Heart & Sole 5K takes place to remember and honor COURTNEY FRAZINE [http://www.ppheartandsole5k.com/courtney.html], a fellow runner who was taken from us WAY too soon as a result of a running accident. Proceeds from this event are donated to READ MUSKEGON [http://www.ppheartandsole5k.com/charity.html], LOVE INC OF MUSKEGON [https://loveincofmuskegon.com/], and KIDS FOOD BASKET [https://kidsfoodbasket.org/mk-feeding-our-future/], charities that held a special place in Courtney's heart as she was an elementary teacher who helped children and anyone who needed help. Fruitport Congregational Church graciously provides their property for us to host this very enjoyable 5K run AND walk. Saturday, October 11, 2025, at 8:30 AM, is the date and time for this memorial run AND walk. All of the participants will receive a long-sleeved "Dri-Fit" tech shirt. Awards will be given for overall and age group winners, going 3 deep. In 2024, 18,000 was raised, split up, and donated to READ Muskegon, Kids Food Basket, and Love INC of Muskegon. We welcome the privilege to see and serve you at this year's Heart & Sole 5K in Memory of Courtney Frazine.
