The festivities begin with opening ceremonies at 10 AM, followed by the walk at 11 AM, winding through the scenic paths of Riverfront Park.
This wonderful occasion aims to honor our heroes, fortify families, and raise awareness about veteran suicide prevention. Participants are encouraged to bring their families, including little ones in scooters, wagons, bikes, or strollers, making it a fun-filled day for all ages. Join us as we come together as a community to show love and support for our veterans, ensuring they know their sacrifices are recognized and appreciated. Don’t miss the Victory Celebration and Closing Ceremony at 12 PM, followed by the closing of the Resource Fair at 1 PM. Together, we can build a connected community that champions our heroes and fortifies families!

Empowering Communities and Fortifying Families to End Veteran Suicide and Strengthen our Heroes to Lead their Communities.
HONOR HEROES - FORTIFY FAMILIES - CELEBRATE FREEDOM
Walk in support of veterans to choose LIFE. The enemy did not have victory in war, and will not win in the day to day battle for our veterans lives. Together we can end veteran suicide and fortify families after service. Live life abundantly with a community that hears, sees and recognizes the sacrifices of our HEROES. Family and supporters of our veterans are encouraged to join. Lets gather in a big way to show the love and support of our veterans and the USA.
The circle of return from military service to civilian life is a personal and community process. Join a community wide celebration and resources fair as we help veterans and families make the journey back home after service.
SCHEDULE:

11:00 AM Walk Commences on paths through Riverfront Park.
Those walking with kids are welcome to bring scooters, wagons, bikes or strollers to make your time easier with little ones.

HEROES WALK BRINGS AWARENESS, SOLUTIONS, AND BUILDS A CONNECTED COMMUNITY TO END VETERAN SUICIDE AND HOMELESSNESS BY PROVIDING RESOURCES FOR WRAP AROUND CARE FOR THE WHOLE VETERAN AND THEIR FAMILY OR SUPPORT SYSTEM. THE CONTENT AND EVENT DAY WILL BE MINDFUL OF THE MULTIGENERATIONAL CROWD.
Organizations desiring to join the resource community fair or sponsor the event, please email info@heroeshomestead.org. Services for adults, children, veterans and spouses (including Gold Star families), as well as basic life needs and life enhancement and more are welcome to join.
