Join us for the exciting Highlands Twilight 5K on Saturday, August 15th, 2026, in the beautiful Highlands, Macon! This vibrant event welcomes runners of all skill levels, from families and casual walkers to seasoned athletes. The race kicks off at 6 PM at the picturesque Kelsey Hutchinson Founders Park, with awards beginning at 7 PM. Participants can enjoy a well-deserved free beer from the Ugly Dog Pub upon crossing the finish line, along with a concert featuring the ABC Combo to celebrate the day.
With a USATF certified 5K course, runners will enjoy a fun and challenging experience, while strollers and well-behaved leashed dogs are welcome to join in the festivities at the back of the pack. Be sure to register by July 16th, 2026, to secure your event T-shirt, as supplies will be limited thereafter. The cool summer evening temperatures make for a perfect race day atmosphere, and all proceeds will benefit the Gordon Center for Child Development. Come join us for the Rotary Club of Highlands Twilight 5K! Fun for the whole family yet challenging for experienced runners. Strollers and walkers welcome, well behaved leased dogs welcome at the back of the pack. T-shirt guaranteed if registered by July 16th 2026, first come availability after that date. One free beer for everyone of age who crosses the finish line provided by the Ugly Dog Pub! There will be a concert following the race for runners, family and friends featuring the ABC Combo so bring your blankets, coolers, chairs, etc.

Please allow enough time to get checked in. Parking available around the Kelsey Hutchinson Park, Highlands Recreation Park, Highlands Ball-field, and Highlands Post Office. Get out of the heat! Rarely above 80 degrees in summer. Always cool in the evening. Friendly dogs on lease welcome at the back of the pack.

Free parking is available around the Kelsey Hutchinson Park, Highlands Recreation Park, Highlands Ballfield, and Highlands Post Office. Kids under 5 run 5K for free. Kids 5 to 9 $10.00 for 5K. Day of race price will be $45.00. -
