Join us for a thrilling virtual race presented by the Women Veterans Alliance and _BENEFITTING WOMEN VETERANS GIVING_: To connect, empower, and cultivate growth of professional women veterans. Whether you prefer the challenge of a 6-hour climb or the excitement of a week-long vertical competition, theres an option for everyone from a virtual 5k, a week long climbing challenge OR a 6 Hour Climbing challenge!
Just for registering, you will receive a Halloween inspired tile that can double as a coaster! T-shirts are available if you also opt to fundraise at least an additional $50.
OPTION 1: VIRTUAL 5K
Lace up your sneakers and take on a VIRTUAL 5K that you can complete at your own pace, anytime, anywhere between now and October 31st at 11:00pm! Whether you prefer running through your local park, jogging on a treadmill, or walking around your neighborhood, this flexible event lets you choose the perfect time and place that works for you.
No matter where you are, you can join the virtual community and celebrate your achievement with fellow participants. Complete your 5K on your schedule, track your distance, and feel the thrill of crossing your own finish line, all while supporting a great cause!
OPTION 2: 6-HOUR CONTINUOUS CLIMB CHALLENGE
Date: October 27, 2025
Time: 7 AM - 1 PM MT (9 AM - 3 PM ET | 8 AM - 2 PM CT | 6 AM - 12 PM PT)
Put your climbing skills to the test! In this 6-hour event, participants will compete to see who can climb the most vertical feet on footwalking, hiking, or running (no wheels allowed and must be outside!)
Event Details:
Rules:
You must travel exclusively by foot for the entire 6-hour duration.
Descents count towards your climbing time.
Breaks are allowed, but a continuous Strava segment must be maintained during the 6 hours.
The segment must be uploaded as close to the end time as possible and cannot exceed 5 minutes past the finish time.
Choose to climb a small hill repeatedly, tackle one big hill, or a combination of bothit's your climb!
No wheels/No Treadmillsget outside and climb!
Registration Fee: $25
Fundraising Commitment: Additional Minimum of $50 raised to receive a finisher's shirt (mailed post-event to verify fundraising amounts).
Prizes: Awards for the top female, male, masters female, masters male, and top non-binary climbers!

Date: Friday, October 25, 2025 at 6 AM MT to Halloween Night, October 31st at 10 PM MT
Compete against climbers nationwide in a week-long vertical challenge! See who can climb the most vertical feet by walking, hiking, or running (no wheels and no treadmills allowed).
Event Details:
Rules:
Record your vertical climbs using Strava throughout the week.
Daily climbs must be entered by the end of each day to count.
No sandbagging: enter your climbs daily to ensure fair competition and updated leaderboards.
Registration Fee: $25
Fundraising Commitment: Additional Minimum of $50 to receive a finisher's shirt (mailed post-event to verify fundraising amounts).
Prizes: Awards for the top female, male, masters female, masters male, and top non-binary climbers!
OPTION 4: GHOULISH CHALLENGE:
Enter BOTH Climbing Events to earn upgraded schwag: a lightweight Hill-O-Ween Hoodie! All 6 hour and Halloween Week challenge rules apply.
