Cyclists can choose between two fantastic route options: the Family Ride, a scenic 2-mile roundtrip through Greenview that highlights several historic sites, or the more challenging 28-mile roundtrip that takes you from Greenview High School to Petersburg and back through the beautiful backroads of Menard County.
All riders will start and finish at Greenview High School, where they can also enjoy free admission to the Heritage Days festivities after the ride. Participants will receive a custom cinch bag if they register by August 19, along with marked routes, rider support, and a rest stop in Petersburg featuring local eateries. Don’t miss this wonderful opportunity to get active, support a meaningful cause, and celebrate the rich history of the Marbold Farmstead!

RIDE INFORMATION
The Historic Marbold Farmstead Association (HMFA) in Greenview, IL is hosting a bike ride fundraiser that promises to combine fitness with community spirit. The HMFA is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the preservation and restoration of the Marbold Farmstead which is a piece of treasured Menard County living history. Bringing it back to a thriving Farmstead serves to educate visitors about its role in our collective heritage as well as provide a place to gather and enjoy community functions. Whether youre a seasoned cycling enthusiast or a casual rider, we hope youll strap on your helmet and join us for a fun day of fitness with a side of generosity to support our mission of preserving an extraordinary place that offers much to our community.
ROUTES
Riders will choose from two route options. The Family Ride is for all ages and consists of an approximate 2 mile roundtrip through Greenview. Several historic Marbold-related sites will be visited along the way. The second route, for more adventurous cyclists, is a 28 mile roundtrip from the Greenview High School to Petersburg and back again via the backroads of Menard County. Designated stops for refueling within Petersburg include Broadgauge, 1st and 3rd Boutique and Wine Bar, and Hand of Fate Brewery. Both routes begin and conclude at Greenview High School at which time riders can enjoy free admission to The Heritage Days festivities.
