WHAT: HOLIDAY FIVE -- 50K, MARATHON, HALF MARATHON, 10K, AND 5K EACH DAY

DATES: HOLIDAY FIVE, DECEMBER 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, 2024

WHERE: CADY WAY PARK (TRAILHEAD), 2529 CADY WAY, WINTER PARK, FL 32792

START TIMES: MARATHON AND 50K AT 6:00 AM, HALF MARATHON AT 6:10, 5K AND 10K AT 7:00 AM

TIME LIMIT: 9.5 HRS

WARNING: Before you continue reading, be advised these events are destined to be the worst ever. Set your expectations lowvery lowso that your disappointment will be minimal. We dont promise much, and will likely provide even less. These races are bare bones, low-key, casual events for people who want to get in just a few more runs before year-end. Or for people who want to celebrate the holidays by doing something healthy. Or for people looking for a family event during the holidays. Also, this is a great opportunity to complete your first half or full marathon. No time pressure and lots of encouragement.



YOU WILL NOT GET: a cleverly designed t-shirt or hat or socks or other apparel, great bling (actually, any bling), cute reusable race bag, spectators lining the course, crowds cheering you in, hearty food at the finish, exciting music, age group awards, or a party afterward.



YOU WILL GET: low entry fees, courses that are guaranteed not short, a cheap finishers medal, a generous time limit, and published results. What more do you really need?



START/FINISH AND AID STATION: The start and finish are in a small pavilion, where you may leave a drop bag. This is also the aid station, which you will pass twice each lap. We will provide water, Gatorade, Coke, Diet Mountain Dew, and light snacks.



COURSES: All distances will start on a short lap through the parking lot and then head out onto the Cady Way Trail. This is an open course on a flat, paved, neighborhood trail. It is an open course and includes two street crossings. More details under Course Description.



BIBS: Bibs may be picked up at the race start on the day of race, starting about 45 minutes prior to race start.



TIMING/FINISH: We are hand-timed and we make a great effort to record your accurate finishing time. We ask that you announce (or ring the bell) when you finish. Also, bibs will have a tear-off tab that we ask you to put on the spindle corresponding to your distance when you finish.



CUPLESS: Bring your own hydration devicewater bottle, hydration belt/pack. There will be a table at the start/finish for your bottles. (We will have cups for the soda.)



LIGHT: The 6:00 and 6:10 starters will need a light for the first hour.



VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: Each volunteer day earns a free race entry (for a long race--50K, marathon, or half marathon) or two free entries for a short race (5K or 10K) for yourself or someone else.
