With race day registration available until 4:00 PM and exciting medals for the top three finishers in both men’s and women’s categories, this event is not to be missed! Organiser's Description
The Homecoming Charity 5K is a race raising money for Sleep in Heavenly Peace, a nonprofit 501 organization that builds and delivers beds to children who don't have beds to sleep in that has donated over 200,000 beds nationwide. Students and the Gainesville community will join together to race through Depot Park in Downtown Gainesville celebrating UF Homecoming's commitment to charity. Students and families of all ages are welcome to participate in the Homecoming 5K!
JOIN US AT FIRST MAGNITUDE ALONGSIDE OUR SPEAKER OLYMPIC RUNNER MEB KEFLEZIGHI for an unforgettable event through one of Gainesville's most beloved locations! Registration opens on August 20th at 4:00pm and closes on September 20th at 4:00pm. Participants who place top 3 in either of the two groups (men and women) will receive a medal. Registration will be accepted day of with the price increase of $5 for all individuals.
Parking: Please utilize either First Magnitude Brewing or Depot Park parking lots for race day parking.
