Hope for the Holiday Half Marathon and 5k in Memory of Garrett Yeager

Join us for the inspiring Hope for the Holiday Half Marathon and 5k in Memory of Garrett Yeager on Saturday, December 7th, 2024, in Batesville, Independence. This uplifting event not only honors the cherished memory of Garrett Yeager—a beloved friend, son, brother, and father—but also supports vital causes in the community. All proceeds will benefit the Special Olympics of Batesville and New Hope Refuge, a faith-based program aiding women struggling with substance abuse.

Runners can choose between two exciting distances: a scenic 5k that winds through the picturesque Eagle Mountain neighborhood and a challenging half marathon that takes participants to the beautiful campus of Lyon College. The half marathon course features a serene 3/4 mile trail and concludes with a run along country roads, offering a delightful mix of scenery. Every participant will receive a finisher's medal and a stylish race hoodie, but remember to register by November 24th to guarantee your hoodie! Packet pickup starts on race morning at 6:30 AM, so lace up your running shoes and be part of this meaningful event!
