1. How do I get to the Hudson Valley Marathon?
The Hudson Valley Marathon takes place at the Walkway Over the Hudson, connecting the towns of Highland and Poughkeepsie, NY. You can reach the area by car, train, or bus.

By Car: The Walkway Over the Hudson State Historic Park is located just 90 minutes north of New York City. You can easily access it via the New York State Thruway (I-87).

By Train: Take the Metro-North Railroad's Hudson Line from Grand Central Terminal to the Poughkeepsie Station, just a short ride from the marathon site. Amtrak also provides service to Poughkeepsie from various locations.

By Bus: Various bus services, including Trailways and Greyhound, operate routes to Poughkeepsie and surrounding towns.

2. Where should I park on race day?
Parking is available at several locations near the Walkway Over the Hudson. Early arrival is encouraged, as spaces fill quickly on race day. Designated parking areas will be marked, and there will be shuttle services from specific parking lots to the starting line. Additional parking information will be sent out closer to the event date.

3. Are there accommodations nearby?
Yes, the Hudson Valley area offers a wide range of lodging options, including hotels, motels, bed-and-breakfasts, and vacation rentals. Popular options in Poughkeepsie and Highland include:

Diamond Mills Hotel, Airbnb and VRBO rentals in nearby towns. We recommend booking your accommodations early to secure the best options.

4. Will there be transportation provided on race day?
Yes, shuttle services will be available on race day from select parking areas to the race start and finish locations. Shuttle schedules and locations will be communicated in advance, so you can plan accordingly.

5. What is there to do in the Hudson Valley before or after the marathon?
The Hudson Valley is known for its beautiful landscapes, historic sites, and vibrant cultural scene. Here are some popular activities:

Visit Local Wineries and Breweries: The region is home to many excellent wineries and breweries, perfect for a post-race celebration.

We’re inviting NYC run clubs, so consider traveling with your group or club members for added camaraderie and support. For an early arrival, you may want to book nearby accommodations or take an early train to ensure plenty of time on race day.

8. Will there be any special arrangements for NYC Run Clubs?
Yes! We’re excited to welcome NYC run clubs to the Hudson Valley Marathon. Run clubs will have dedicated areas, and special transportation options may be available for clubs with larger groups. Keep an eye out for exclusive updates for registered run clubs.
