Proceeds from the swim will be donated to Hawaiian Swimming, assisting talented athletes in their journey to the May 2026 Oceania Swim Meet in Fiji. KONA 2.4 MILE SWIM - RESCHEDULED

The Kona 2.4 Mile Swim scheduled for March 22 has been cancelled. Our top priority is always the safety of our swimmers, volunteers, and community. Brown water advisories caused the cancellation.

We are in the process of rescheduling the event for Sunday April 12th.

All current registrations will automatically be rolled over into the race on April 12th.

The registration time period will be extended to end of day Thursday April 9th.

Race details stay the same with the new race date.

Swim the famous Kailua Bay 2.4 ocean swim course. During the swim you'll definitely see some sea life. Dolphins, eagle rays and sometimes a manta ray are all possibilities and you'll definitely see lots of different fish.

Proceeds from this year's event will be donated to Hawaiian Swimming to help fund top Hawaiian Swimming athletes particpation in the May 2026 Oceania Swim Meet being held in Fiji. The top Hawaiian Swimming male and female swimmers in this race will qualify to represent Hawaii in the open water swimming competition at the Oceania competition.

    This will be a fun swim that will have timing chips and individual results will be published by age group and sex. There will be some serious racing at the front of the pack and a lot of swimmers just enjoying the ocean swim experience! No monofins and no full face snorkel masks (safety issues). Other swim aids and wetsuits are acceptable. Awards will be available for top 3 male and female finishers. We will try to note swimmers that use swim aids in the results. Swimmers using swim aids (ie. fins, wetsuit, etc.) are not eligible for top 3 awards or top Hawaiian Swimmer award. To be eligible for the top male and female Hawaiian Swimmer award the swimmer must meet all the qualification standards for Team Hawaii for the Oceania meet.
