Our sweet, loving, and joyful boy Jack was recently diagnosed with INAD, a rare, heartbreaking, and terminal neurodegenerative disease that is slowly taking away the very abilities that make our boy so special.

Imagine a child reaching developmental milestones, laughing, waving, saying mama and dada, only to have these abilities taken away before their second birthday. Thats the cruel reality of INAD/PLAN. In the last years of their life, children like Jack, will gradually lose the ability to move, eat, or sit up without support, and eventually, even their ability to smile fades. INAD/PLAN is a devastating disease that takes away all a child can do, and when theres nothing left, it takes the child, too. Sadly, most children dont make it to their 10th birthday.

Leading experts agree that gene therapy holds promise for treating INAD/PLAN. It has the potential to spare future families from unimaginable pain, as well as provide children like Jack a real shot at fighting back.
